Top 5 Hair Loss Mistakes – Best Hairloss Products

Hair loss affects millions of men and women around the world so you should never feel alone or embarrassed; there is no need to panic at the first site of hair loss. Just after diagnosis it’s easy to be fooled by many hair products that claim to offer hair regrowth. If you read many of the product descriptions on packages like these, although they say they will regrow hair, in small print there will be a disclaimer that says none of these claims have been proven.

Here’s our countdown of the top 5 mistakes men and women make at the first signs of hair loss, so make sure you read them so you know what to avoid!

5. Growing Your Hair Too Long.

When I first noticed my hair receding and thinning I thought, like most people do, that if I grew my hair longer then I’d cover up any bald or thin spots with ease. The problem is that growing your hair long adds weight and stress to your roots. Longer hair will also reveal your balding scalp more quickly. I’d advise that you consult with your hairstylist or hairdresser in the first instance.  He or she will understand your concerns and be able to offer you a style you will look great in, while understanding your concerns about concealing your thin areas.  In most cases the shorter the cut the better the look for thinning hair is on men. For women, a medium cut will achieve the best results.

4. Washing Your Hair Every Day.

I was lead to believe as a kid that I needed to wash my hair every day in order to be clean and have healthy hair.  The problem is that too much shampoo or conditioner on a daily basis breaks down the natural structure of your hair. I am not speaking out against daily hygiene, though. But what I am saying is that it is perfectly healthy  for you to occasionally just wet and soak your hair while showering without using shampoo or conditioner every time.

3. Brushing Your Hair until it looks Perfect.

Brushing your hair too much stresses out your hair. Use your hands and fingertips to style your shorter hairstyle. Style it with the natural pattern of your scalp. If you have to push it forward like I do or get a new cut or style, then so be it. You’ll look better and feel more confident.  I used to be able to comb my hair from front to back, and now I hand style and lightly comb from back to front.

2. Poor Diet.
It may be frustrating to hear that your mother, father and teachers were right all along when they said that to be fit and strong you needed to eat well, because thinning hair is often the first indicator that you may have a poor diet. A balanced diet with proper portions of meats, fruits and vegetables will help strengthen your hair. You will also physically feel better. You should consult your physician about vitamin supplements if you think you are particularly missing out on something in particular. Both men and women past the age of 30 often need a little extra help with vitamins, and a lack of iron and vitamin B are thought to be contributing factors in hair loss.

1. Doing Nothing About Hair Loss.

Denial is the biggest mistake you can make if you really want to minimise the effects of hair loss. When I was 28 my mother pointed out that my hair was thinning. I blamed my hair loss on her pointing this fact out. I was in denial and past blame to my mother.  The truth is she loved me and was being honest and she suggested I speak with my doctor about hair loss. There may be a medical reason for your hair loss, such as alopecia or deficiencies in your thyroid gland. Stress at work and fidgeting with your hair can also cause it.

Whatever it is, the first step is to admit you have a problem. The second step involves consulting someone such as a physician who has more information of the causes of hair loss than you or I do.  Always aim to find out the true facts and solutions from a medically certified doctor and let them help you find the correct solution that best suits you.

Finally, stop avoiding hair loss restoration products. You can have better hair by taking better care of yourself today and getting the help you need.

We recommend certain products, but please consult your physician first.  For hair re growth, any product with Minoxidil will usually stop hair loss and in some cases re grow the hair.  Minoxidil usually only works for men and women with hair loss on the back of the head.  For people like me with thin hair in front, products with Minoxidil did not work.  There were no prescription products on the market that worked for me which were organic.  That was until I found out about KeraFiber. KeraFiber hair building fibres instantly conceals thinning or balding hair in seconds.  It works perfectly on men and women and you can be confident that when you walk down the street nobody will have any idea that you are wearing anything other than hair on your head.
